Job Title: Dining Room Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Host/Hostess to join our team at Old Orchard Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of servers, bartenders, and other support staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Wine Selection and Service: Provide expert advice on wine selection and serve wine to our guests.
  • Dining Room Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the dining room and other food and beverage serving areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Menu Knowledge: Answer customer questions regarding menu items and preparation methods.
  • Special Needs: Assist guests with special needs and ensure their requirements are met.
  • Seating Arrangements: Arrange seating for large groups and ensure that all guests are seated promptly.
  • Greeting and Service: Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Perform opening and closing activities, including setting up and closing down the dining room.
  • Reservations and Payments: Receive customer reservations and assign tables, as well as process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work, as well as the advertised start date.
  • Work Authorization: Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Relocation: Be willing to relocate for this position.
  • Proximity: Currently reside in proximity to the advertised location.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in this field of employment.
