Principal/Senior Gameplay Programmer

About the Role:

Behaviour Interactive Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Principal/Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our Product Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality gameplay features for our flagship franchise, Dead by Daylight.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement gameplay mechanics, systems, and features that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  2. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features with other aspects of the game.
  3. Develop and maintain well-structured, modular, and reusable code that adheres to our coding standards.
  4. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
  5. Work closely with the game design team to ensure that gameplay features align with the game's overall vision and design.
  6. Identify and prioritize technical challenges and develop effective solutions to address them.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 6 years of experience in gameplay programming with a strong focus on game development.
  2. Proven track record of shipping high-quality games with a strong emphasis on gameplay mechanics.
  3. Excellent understanding of game development principles, including game design, programming, and testing.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-discipline teams.
  5. Experience with C++ programming language and Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
  6. Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
