We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, Assurance to join our team in our St. Catharines office. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and amending Review and/or Compilation Engagement documents, including working papers, financial statements, and tax returns;
- Providing constructive criticism of working papers and offering guidance and direction to staff;
- Engaging in networking opportunities and business development with clients;
- Attending final meetings with clients and contributing to discussions;
- Identifying planning opportunities for clients;
- Ensuring all queries and outstanding points have been resolved satisfactorily;
- Assisting with client billing and delegating tasks to junior staff members;
- Coaching staff and conducting performance evaluations.
The successful candidate will have:
- A graduate degree in Accounting or equivalent;
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
- 2-5 years of post-designation experience in a public accounting firm;
- Experience in an oversight role, with a thorough understanding of GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, CAS, and CIS, as well as Canadian Taxation.
