Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at ESS Corp.

Job Summary:

The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising a team of machine operators, machinists, and other support staff, as well as coordinating with other departments to meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of machine operators, machinists, and other support staff
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting production deadlines
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet production needs
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Set up and operate machines and equipment
  • Train or arrange for training of staff members
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Oversee the operation of the machine shop
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in supervising a team of machine operators, machinists, and other support staff
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • First Aid Certificate, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Working Conditions:

The Machine Shop Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The position requires the ability to work in a noisy environment and to lift heavy objects.
