The Culinary Operations Manager will be instrumental in crafting memorable dining experiences for patrons in a vibrant new establishment. This role entails overseeing kitchen operations that ensure the delivery of exceptional cuisine and exemplary service. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to blend key relational, financial, and leadership skills to cultivate a motivated team, advancing their career in a unique environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the culinary team to guarantee a remarkable dining experience through the consistent provision of top-quality dishes.
- Execute opening and closing procedures by guiding staff and ensuring the completion of all operational tasks.
- Direct the culinary management team in identifying, assessing, and continuously enhancing service strategies.
- Manage food inventory and coordinate the ordering and receiving of products.
- Engage in menu planning and development to elevate customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the recruitment and training of culinary team members, maintaining appropriate staffing levels according to business demands.
- Supervise culinary staff, including cooks and support personnel.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with sanitation regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and monitor food costing benchmarks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen management or sous chef role within a comparable setting.
- Possession of Red Seal certification, a degree in Culinary Arts, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Inspiring leadership qualities with the capability to motivate a team to reach its fullest potential.
- Proficiency in creating and developing menus that enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Strong computer skills related to the culinary department.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
