Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team at Permacon, a leading manufacturer of concrete masonry and landscaping products. As a Millwright Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment, and systems at our Cambridge plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance using our company's PM program to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment unique to precast concrete manufacturing, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain stock and parts inventory to ensure timely replacement of worn or damaged components.
- Lead mechanical shutdowns and participate in safety improvements to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Certified Industrial Mechanic or Millwright certification is an asset.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics, with a focus on safety, performance, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanical, fabrication, and welding, with a strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
