We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer services.
About the RoleThis is a locum position available for a minimum of 1 year, starting in mid-2024. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing clinical care to patients with various types of cancer. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in research and education activities to improve cancer care and outcomes
- Contribute to the development of our cancer services, including quality improvement initiatives and policy development
- Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia
- Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports
