Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at CB Canada. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and provide a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Oversees the front of house F&B operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location; assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports as necessary.
  • Team Management: Schedules and supervises team members; verifies time and attendance; assigns shift work assignments; ensures appropriate coverage while minimizing operating costs.
  • Reporting and Quality Control: Completes shift reports for management and for the next shift; tracks quality and guest issues and reports to management.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Assists with the screening and selection of new hires; organizes and tracks training progress.
  • Guest Service: Assesses guest alcohol consumption to determine removal or restriction decisions and delivers message to guest.
  • Inventory Management: Orders front of house supplies as required; may participate in monthly inventory count.
  • Front Line Support: Performs front line F&B duties as required.
  • Expertise and Liaison: Offers F&B expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Additional Initiatives: Manages other initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma; Post Secondary education in hospitality or suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 2 years Food & Beverage experience; 2 years experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: POS experience; WHMIS an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service-oriented communication; computer literacy in MS Office.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Regular office, restaurant or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours.
