Job Summary:

The Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including managing a team of cashiers, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of 11-15 cashiers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Authorize payments by cheque, manage cash transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are displayed attractively.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to support business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
