Position Title: Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Youth/Young Adults

Overview:
As the Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Youth/Young Adults, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Pastor and in collaboration with the Elder's Board. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Community Outreach: Engage and evangelize individuals who are not currently part of a church community, focusing particularly on youth and young adults.
  • Discipleship: Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to effectively mentor and disciple church members, emphasizing the spiritual growth of youth and young adults.
  • Volunteer Leadership: Organize and nurture volunteer youth leaders, providing them with the necessary support and guidance.
  • Spiritual Care: Offer spiritual leadership and pastoral care to congregants, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Great Commission Fulfillment: Work alongside the Senior Pastor and ministry teams to carry out the Great Commission, emphasizing evangelism, discipleship, and prayer for both church members and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement an evangelism ministry aimed at reaching youth and young adults, aligned with the mission and vision of Briercrest College and Seminary.
  • Encourage and support church members and their families, particularly those with youth participants.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive youth ministry program, including event planning, teaching sessions, and budget management.
  • Build and empower a team of youth ministry leaders, fostering a collaborative and prayerful environment.
  • Conduct weekly youth meetings and Sunday morning services for youth.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the care of children and youth, implementing necessary policies and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:
  • Formal education in Christian studies.
  • Proven experience in teaching and engaging with youth and young adults.
  • A valid Class 4 driver's license is considered an asset.
  • Report directly to the Senior Pastor.

Employment Type: Full Time
Compensation: Salary Pay Scale: Youth
