About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Labourer to join our team at EPL Plastics. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Machine Operators: Provide support to machine operators and assemblers in the manufacturing process, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Material Handling: Transport materials and tools to and from work areas, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
  • Calender Roller Adjustment: Adjust calender rollers for production line changes, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Chemical Measurement: Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae, ensuring accurate measurements and minimizing waste.
  • Mixing and Blending: Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity, following formulation cards to ensure accurate mixing.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring that all machinery is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the quality of materials produced, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
  • Trimming and Sanding: Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts, ensuring that all finished products meet quality standards.
  • Mould Preparation: Prepare and change moulds, adjusting equipment for production line changes.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all materials and supplies are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Calender Machine Operation: Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness.
Work Environment

As a Manufacturing Labourer at EPL Plastics, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads, making physical demands a key aspect of this role.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
