Job Title: Risk Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Risk Management Canada team. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating risk workshops, delivering project risk assessments, and reporting on risk management activities using Monte Carlo simulation software.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client project team relationships to provide risk management support.
  • Work with client project teams to understand project scope, schedule, and estimate.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and maintain records of discussions.
  • Interrogate MS Project and P6 to recreate high-level schedules for modeling purposes.
  • Extract contingency information from cost data.
  • Understand AACE classes and their implications.
  • Input and run schedule modeling software.
  • Use @Risk to generate cost model information and create modeling scenarios.
  • Manage creation of slide decks, executive summaries, and full reports.
  • Perform QA checks on documentation before issuing to clients.
  • Manage multiple project workloads and prioritize tasks.
  • Travel to client locations as required.
  • Develop and update internal risk management training materials.
  • Support internal project risk management and provide advice on best practices.
  • Draft risk content for RFPs.
  • Maintain and update internal processes and procedures.
  • Generate risk management opportunities with external clients.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering or Construction or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Design/Construction environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk modeling.
  • Proficient in risk modeling software, including @Risk and Safran.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize workloads.
  • Nuclear security clearance will be obtained after recruitment.
  • Fluent English-speaking essential.
  • French speaking desired.
