Position Overview

As a Kitchen Helper at DBA Taco Del Mar, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen environment. Your contributions will ensure that our culinary team can deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clean dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items to designated areas and assist in setting tables.
  • Utilize dishwashing equipment to ensure all kitchenware is sanitized and ready for use.
  • Manually wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen items as needed.
  • Scrub and clean pots and pans to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities utilized in daily operations.
  • Prepare take-out food orders and package them appropriately.
  • Portion and wrap food items for service.
  • Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items.
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure availability of fresh ingredients.
  • Employ both manual and electrical tools to clean, peel, slice, and trim food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning supplies.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in appropriate storage areas.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and trash responsibly.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure they are ready for use.
  • Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting as required.
