Key Responsibilities- Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and install building components.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete building projects.
As a carpenter with Bang On Carpentry & Labour Hire Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying work sites, including commercial, residential, and renovation projects.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and other necessary safety equipment.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and as part of a team.
This role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working at heights.
