About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at Tribute Electric Ltd. as a key member of our electrical distribution team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical distribution and transmission systems to ensure safe and efficient power delivery to our customers.
  • Splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • Write maintenance reports to document work completed and identify areas for improvement.
  • Inspect overhead and underground power lines and cables to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to protect ourselves and others from harm.
  • Climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets to access power lines and cables in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours to ensure accurate work.
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks that require fine motor skills.
