About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Ecliptic Builders LTD. as a Drywall Finisher. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Surfaces: Ensure that all surfaces are clean and free of debris before installing drywall.
  • Cut and Install Metal Corner Beads: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and provide a smooth finish.
  • Filling Joints and Nail Indentations: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, Cut, and Install Drywall Sheets: Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Position and Secure Sheets: Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Taping and Embedding Tape: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, but you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and develop your skills.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, residential, and various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week.
