Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at West Parry Sound Health Centre. As a key member of our acute care unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer direct nursing care for patients within the scope of your license with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Provide indirect patient care by ensuring the proper maintenance, cleaning, and assembly of equipment and facilities.
- Work cooperatively with other health team members while maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- A current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Successful completion of an approved RPN program.
- Completion of Medication Administration for R.P.N.'s, medical asepsis, catheterization, and IV training/education, combined with previous experience utilizing these skills.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs.
- Courses in Behaviour Approach (such as P.I.E.C.E.S, GPA, or restorative), would be an asset.
- Previous experience in Nursing Skills pertinent to Acute Care, would be an asset.
- An attractive starting hourly wage of $32.59 to start, based on experience.
