Job Title: Attendant for Persons with Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Attendant for Persons with Disabilities to join our team at Lee Family. As an Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and with dignity.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication. You will work closely with our team to ensure that each individual receives the highest level of care and support, tailored to their unique needs and preferences.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the individual's safety and comfort
  • Support communication and social interaction, facilitating connections with family, friends, and community
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and household chores
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a caregiving or support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 9 kg/20 lbs)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
