Position Overview

The Pierside Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialty Foods Chef to join our culinary team. This is a permanent position that requires a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence.

Work Environment

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff
  • Develop and design new recipes
  • Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events
  • Oversee the activities of cooks and kitchen personnel
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals, including for special occasions
  • Manage food requisition and kitchen supply orders
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and maintenance
  • Plan menus to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or intolerances
