Job Summary:

The PCBA Technician is a key member of the Mircom Group of Companies' production team, responsible for maintaining and supporting all facility and production equipment in PCBA. This role involves performing Preventive Maintenance on all production/process equipment as per the PM program, as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, set-up, and program all auto-insertion and SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain all Preventive Maintenance logs in the PCBA department, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Recommend and maintain required inventory of machine spare parts to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Train operators on autonomous maintenance SOPs and work with the TPM team to continuously improve the OEE of equipment. Respond rapidly to Andon signals, resolve issues, and participate in 5-whys analysis.
  • Advise the Supervisor or Lead Hand of any abnormal conditions, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Minimize downtime of machines and maintain a high level of operational availability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Offer suggestions for continual improvement, driving process excellence and efficiency.
  • Lead team efforts for following Standardized Work, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide first-line support for problem-solving, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Meet Safety, Quality, Output, Operational Availability, Productivity, and Cost Targets, driving business success.
  • Participate in daily team meetings at the work area, fostering collaboration and open communication.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Electronic Engineering diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years.
    • Understanding of electronic schematic drawings and ability to interpret technical documentation.
    • Experience with auto-insertion and pick-and-place machine programming, as well as PCBA process knowledge, including paste printer, pick and place, SMT reflow, SPI, AOI, Wave Solder, and Flying probe Test.
    • Experience with Samsung pick-and-place machines is an asset.
    • Good working knowledge of reflow profiles and experience with SPI/AOI programming.
    • Experience with SPRINT4510 Flying probe machines is an asset.
    • Knowledge of IPC and Quality control principles is an asset.
