We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Cleaner at 633962 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping Floors: Ensure all floors are clean and free of debris, using a variety of cleaning solutions and equipment.
  • Dusting and Polishing: Dust all furniture and fixtures, and polish floors to a high shine.
  • Vacuuming and Cleaning: Vacuum all carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, and clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, and ensure recycling is properly sorted and disposed of.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship Programs: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, and offer mentorship programs that pair them with experienced employees.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Competency Training: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
