Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Drama Intern. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the performing arts industry and contribute to the delivery of high-quality programs and services to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Assist instructors in delivering musical theatre programs and camps to youths aged 3-19 years
  • Support the set up and tear down of equipment, including cameras, computers, monitors, sound systems, and pianos
  • Set up classes on Zoom and monitor computers during classes if students are absent but wish to attend virtually
  • Assist with sign-in and classroom demonstrations as required
  • Act as liaison between instructors and administration
  • Assist with class planning, delivery, and reporting each week
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the performing arts genre
  • Experience working with youth is a definite asset
  • High levels of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preference will be given to students pursuing post-secondary education in Musical Theatre, Acting, Music, or Education
Working Conditions

Up to 15 hours per week, including Saturday and some evenings. The number of hours worked per week fluctuates on an as-needed basis due to operational requirements and will be scheduled in advance where possible.

Compensation

$16.96 - $20.65 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
