Position Overview

The Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Prepare trial balances to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Experience Required
  • A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Commitment to Indigenous Support
  • Engage in community programs that support Indigenous peoples.
  • Provide mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Foster relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Deliver cultural competency training to enhance workplace inclusivity.
