About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Service Technician to join our team at Spar-Marathon Roofing Supplies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and inspections of parts and components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with truck systems, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance services to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports and documentation of repairs and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as automotive or heavy-duty mechanics.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending.
