Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Maintain and manage ASP/SaaS-based production systems to ensure their availability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Middleware Management: Establish and maintain Middleware (JBoss or Websphere) components, including all aspects of running a SaaS Middleware solution.
- Documentation: Write documentation as necessary to ensure clear understanding of systems and processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Operations & Infrastructure team members, Project Managers, Software Development, and Business Analysts to ensure successful delivery for all projects.
- Systems Administration: Perform general systems administration tasks, including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, and urgent system patching.
- Software Deployment: Deploy software code, upgrades, and client support as required.
- System Management: Manage systems in a virtualized environment to ensure availability.
- Scripting: Write and implement scripts to automate tasks for continuous process improvements.
- Security: Ensure critical system security through the use of best-in-class security solutions.
- On-Call Support: Participate in afterhours, weekend work, and on-call rotation for 24/7 support as required.
- JBoss Experience: Deep hands-on experience of J2EE Application servers like WebSphere, JBoss, or Class loader policies.
- Virtualization Experience: Experience with VMWare Virtual Machines, including in-depth experience in support, and storage administration.
- Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of load balancer, firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE.
- Teamwork: Team player with intra- and inter-departmental cooperation that fosters morale and productivity.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
- Proactivity: Proactive, service-first attitude combined with ability to work independently on projects with tight deadlines and minimal supervision.
- Education: Bachelor's degree, college diploma, or exceptional equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in System Administration for Red Hat/CentOS/RPM-based Linux, 2+ years of experience in managing Web Application servers.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in managing AIX/Unix servers, experience with Python, Perl, Korn/Bash, or PowerShell scripting, experience with automated tools and software deployment, configuration management (Ansible) and system monitoring.
