Electric Vehicle Control Systems Engineer

Position Overview

As a key member of the Electrical Vehicle Power Unit Integration team, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development of various system components throughout the transition from prototype to mass production.

  • Oversee control system projects associated with the EV Power Unit (including Inverter, motor, Charger, Battery, etc.) to ensure adherence to timelines and performance standards for recreational vehicles.
  • Design tailored technical solutions while considering the architecture of control systems.
  • Define control requirements to guarantee the robustness, quality, and reliability of both prototype and production components.
  • Create and implement reliability testing protocols during the development phase on electrical test benches, dynamometers, and prototype vehicles.
  • Collaborate with electrical technicians, suppliers, and internal teams in the development of EV components.
  • Assist the design, production, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Ensure the development of component diagnostics, fault detection, and vehicle responses.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • You can thrive in a project start-up environment with evolving objectives.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, or demonstrate exceptional expertise in relevant fields.
  • You have experience in control architecture (including motoring, power delivery, charging technologies, and Battery Management Systems).
  • You are knowledgeable about CAN communication protocols.
  • You have experience in the product development lifecycle, from prototyping to production.
  • You are comfortable in an environment where technical solutions are not predefined, and where predictive analysis methods are utilized.
  • You are proficient in both French and English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
