**Job Summary**

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in the Estevan and surrounding area, reporting to our Regina Material Handling location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Forklift based equipment and attachments.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and perform repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards.
  • Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems to complete tasks.
  • Accurately document machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate parts using parts catalogues and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

**Required Skills**

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment or automotive environment.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
