Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - Floor Cleaning Equipment Specialist to join our team at Alpine Building Maintenance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of floor cleaning equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers, burnishers, sweepers, and vacuums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on floor cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with floor cleaning equipment
  • Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and equipment
  • Operate and maintain forklifts, ATVs, and other vehicles as required
  • Lift heavy equipment and supplies (up to 51lbs) on an ongoing basis
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license and have a clean driving record
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification (considered an asset)
Requirements
  • Proven experience operating and repairing a wide variety of floor cleaning equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
  • Forklift certification (considered an asset)
