Position: Safety and Prevention Technician

As a Safety and Prevention Technician at CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal, you will engage in a variety of tasks related to research, inspections, training, and oversight aimed at enhancing safety protocols. Your primary objective is to safeguard the well-being of users, staff, and the integrity of facilities.

  • Assist in the deployment of information systems and the enhancement of performance dashboards
  • Evaluate and refine operational procedures
  • Identify the training, support, and coaching requirements for personnel
  • Participate in the evaluation and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Examine sector-specific or user-related challenges, propose corrective strategies, and facilitate their execution
  • Mentor new hires and provide updates to current staff
  • Offer support and guidance to team members
  • Develop and revise skill enhancement plans
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections, audits, and communicate necessary adjustments to employees and management
  • Contribute to the management of additional safety measures, outbreaks, and extensive sanitation efforts

Qualifications

The Safety and Prevention Technician at CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal should possess:

  • A College diploma in Environmental Techniques, Occupational Health and Safety, or a relevant discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
