About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Manager to join our team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our proposal team, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality proposals that meet our company's approval cycle time and bid submission deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to our GTS WinBid process, which includes internal estimates, risk identification and mitigation, and program schedule development.
  • Manage and coordinate key resources and stakeholders to obtain the lowest costs and complete assigned bid deliverables.
  • Coordinate, consolidate, and approve engineering and material cost optimizations, and lead discussions and negotiations at the Director and VP level.
  • Responsible for the successful negotiation of scope split, final contract terms and conditions, and technical specifications.
  • Lead medium to large proposal teams comprising team members from the organization, consortium, subcontractors, and other GTS units.
Requirements
  • 7-10+ years of experience in engineering and business development in a complex sales environment.
  • University graduate with an engineering, business, or science degree.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary and transversal teams locally, remotely, and internationally.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle, including systems engineering, software engineering, and test and commissioning.
  • Good negotiation, people management, and legal/contractual knowledge.
  • Preferably: knowledge of GTS' WinBid process, Work Breakdown Structure, Bidpack Financial format, risk management, estimation process, and scheduling.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • PMP or equivalent is an asset.
  • Second language (French, Italian, Arabic, Spanish) is an asset.
