Job Title: Veterinary Technologist

Canada West Veterinary Specialists is a leading multi-disciplinary specialty referral practice with a 24-hour ERCC service. We are a team of dedicated professionals passionate about providing exceptional patient care and client satisfaction.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technologist to join our Neurology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our neurology specialists, including patient care, radiography, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of neurology procedures and protocols
  • Perform technical nursing skills, including IV catheter placement, blood collection, and radiography
  • Calculate, dispense, and administer medications under the direction of the specialist
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and procedures
  • Participate in daily communication with clients and referring veterinarians
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Veterinary Technologists
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies
  • Demonstrated computer skills
