About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to field service technicians on the commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of low and medium voltage switchgear products.
  • Offer expert advice to customers on switchgear products through our Service Ticketing System.
  • Develop and implement Method of Procedure (MOP) guidelines for site trips and projects, ensuring seamless execution and quality control.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Design Teams to address product bulletins, software upgrades, and maintenance factors.
  • Design and deliver technical training programs for customers and employees on new and existing products.
  • Support the Technical Call Desk, Coordinators, and cross-functional teams in addressing customer inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding and compliance with company policies, emphasizing quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors, upholding high levels of quality and technical service.
  • Participate in factory witness/shop testing as required.
  • Work with 3rd party equipment vendors to resolve recurring issues with vendor equipment.
  • Provide feedback on issues found in the field to Manufacturing and Engineering, driving quality control and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Supervisor to schedule field resources and ensure service needs are met.
  • Travel to sites to provide in-person technical support to field service technicians as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of technical experience in the Power Generation Industry or similar industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrading, and retrofitting electrical distribution systems, including LV and MV switchgear, ATSs, automation controls, and back-up power systems.
  • Past field service work history with an OEM or reputable service company.
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and ensure follow-up on multiple competing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
