Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Construction Team Leader, the responsibilities of this role encompass the following:

• Uphold the principles and values of Federated Co-operatives Limited, ensuring a strong customer service orientation that positively impacts our members' experiences.

• Provide exemplary service to guests at every interaction, utilizing various communication methods.

• Support skilled tradespeople in executing construction tasks across residential, commercial, and agricultural sites.

• Manage the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring efficient movement to designated work areas.

• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and safety barriers.

• Operate and maintain a variety of power tools and equipment, including mixers, compressors, and pumps.

• Clear debris and rubble from job sites using appropriate tools such as rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and asset protection.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with job site safety regulations (Occupational Health & Safety) is essential.

• A keen eye for quality assurance and safety throughout the construction process.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, along with knowledge of building codes and regulations.

• Physical fitness and a willingness to learn are crucial for success in this role.

• A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.

• Willingness to obtain necessary safety certifications; valid first aid, fall protection, aerial lift, and telehandler training are advantageous.

• A carpentry certificate or progress in the carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Integrity, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset are essential attributes.

• Capability to perform extensive physical labor typical of construction environments.

• Knowledge of carpentry methods, tools, and equipment is beneficial.

• Flexibility to work weekends and availability for occasional travel is required.
