About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at David The Tree Guy Ltd. As a key member of our grounds crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscape Construction and Maintenance
    • Assist with the construction and maintenance of landscapes, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
    • Cut and maintain grass, rake and collect refuse, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance
    • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
    • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Plant Care and Watering
    • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a provincial license/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, often in varying weather conditions.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule
    • 40 hours per week.
