We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer who is passionate about advancing their career in the medical device sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will involve:
  • Participating in the design, development, and execution of software test automation.
  • Conducting verification and validation tests for software and systems.
  • Preparing regulatory-compliant test protocols and reports.
  • Assisting in the formulation of verification and validation strategies for internal software and systems.
  • Providing insights to the design team to ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly defined to facilitate verification activities.
  • Staying informed about relevant medical device software standards and regulations.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software verification and validation testing.
  • Experience in drafting specifications, test protocols, and reports.
  • A strong interest in software test automation; familiarity with automation tools and frameworks is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards such as IEC 60601 and 62304 is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • A commitment to finding innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

Kardium Inc. offers a competitive total cash compensation range (base salary plus a 5% RRSP contribution) for this position. Compensation will be based on various relevant factors including education, qualifications, experience, and organizational needs.
As a permanent employee, you will also have the opportunity to participate in our stock option plan.

  • Compensation range: $76,000 – 89,000 (CAD Annually)
