Flight Data Monitoring Analyst

At Transat A.T Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Flight Data Monitoring Analyst to join our Flight Safety Team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the improvement of flight safety by analyzing flight data and identifying trends and risks.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that the Flight Data Monitoring Program actively contributes to the improvement of flight safety, based on industry best practices and in compliance with confidentiality criteria and IOSA requirements;
- Organize the monthly Flight Data Monitoring Program meetings and follow up on the required actions;
- Collaborate on a regular basis with the Gatekeepers;
- Actively participate in C-CAST (Canadian Commercial Aviation Safety Team) meetings and activities;
- Collaborate with various external entities, such as the flight data analysis provider, IATA, Airbus, and NACC;
- Analyze exceedances, establish risk levels, and coordinate actions with the Gatekeepers;
- Carry out statistical analysis of flight data, identify trends, make recommendations, and prepare required reports;
- Participate in investigations requiring flight data analysis;
- Support Safety Officers in processing safety reports related to flight operations, including database entry, investigation, risk assessment, root cause determination, and corrective action follow-up;
- Maintain up-to-date Flight Data Monitoring Program procedures;
- Contribute articles to the Flight Safety Department's monthly publication;
- Support, as needed, the Director of Flight Safety by performing other related tasks.
- University Diploma in a related field such as Aviation Engineering, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in aviation, including at least three (3) years in Flight Operations;
- Flight data analysis experience is essential;
- A Pilot's Licence is an asset;
- Strong analytical and statistical abilities;
- Oral and written proficiency in both French and English;
- Computer proficiency: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Ability to work independently.
