Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at STAR WORLD RENOVATION INC. as a key member of our construction crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Apply successive coats of compound to seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
