Position Overview: This role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager, serving as the Technical Lead on various initiatives while ensuring that the technical capabilities and production requirements are met. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service and coordinate effectively with both internal and external project partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project leadership to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, gathering and coordinating essential information.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Act as Project Manager or Technical Specialist to ensure timely delivery of client projects.
  • Share technical expertise across various offices.
  • Engage with clients as necessary.
  • Support and enhance quality control processes.
  • Prepare cost estimates, change orders, and evaluate project performance.
  • Develop engineering proposals and identify project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Draft reports with minimal editing required.
  • Resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts.
  • Review complex drawings and provide input on proposals.
  • Write and present technical documentation.
  • Design unique solutions by collaborating with on-site disciplines.
  • Independently manage routine projects and oversee work plans.
  • Coordinate across service lines to relay critical information for complex projects.
  • Prepare engineering designs and specifications for various systems, including control systems, power systems, and life safety systems.
  • Adapt existing standards and develop new approaches as needed.
  • Stamp project designs and reports, providing peer review for junior engineers.
  • Uphold and promote the core values of Williams Engineering.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Possess the ability to apply for a Federal security clearance for institutional projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation with the appropriate provincial association.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Professional Engineer.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective communication.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications, including MS Office 365, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.
  • Ability to accurately apply codes and regulations.
  • Capable of identifying project risks and ensuring compliance with client requirements.
