About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Aquarium Depot. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver items to customers, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver items, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Offer professional and courteous service to customers, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Manage Inventory: Keep accurate records of items received and delivered, ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, handling heavy loads with care.
  • Follow Directions: Follow directions and read maps to ensure efficient delivery routes and timely arrivals.
  • Record Trip Information: Accurately record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, and initiative.
