Job Summary

Vanguard Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to colleagues on new techniques and best practices.
  • Logistics: Deliver goods as part of a team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate specialized trucks, including tractor-trailer units, and obtain necessary permits for international transport.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicle maintenance and safety, performing routine checks and repairs as needed.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle payment for goods and manage financial transactions accurately.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record Keeping: Record vehicle information and maintain accurate records.
  • Safety Protocols: Handle dangerous goods safely and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Experience with tractor-trailer trucks
Work Environment
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting (more than 45 kg) and the ability to travel for extended periods.
