Senior Silicon Validation Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Silicon Validation Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative team at Synopsys, Inc. In this role, you will engage in product validation and ensure adherence to established standards and specifications within a laboratory setting. Your responsibilities will include utilizing advanced high-speed instruments such as 224Gb/s capable Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs) and 70 GHz Oscilloscopes to develop high-speed SerDes Physical Layer (PHY) solutions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team to troubleshoot issues and validate product performance
- Evaluate circuit functionality and constraints in a testing environment
- Establish testing criteria and methodologies
- Investigate and specify necessary testing equipment and components
- Conduct characterization assessments and compile comprehensive reports
- Design test boards and hardware solutions
- Develop software/scripts for process automation
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in testing engineering
- Strong understanding of Analog Integrated Circuit design
- Proficiency in software programming
- Experience with Matlab and digital circuit design
- Strong debugging capabilities
- Familiarity with PAM4 signaling
- Experience with high-speed testing apparatus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of PCB design
- Understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
- Experience with schematic capture and SPICE simulation
- Data analysis expertise
