Job Description

As a Professor of Painting and Contemporary Art, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the art of painting and contemporary art practices. You will be expected to develop and deliver engaging and informative courses that cover a range of topics, including painting techniques, art history, and contemporary art trends.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in painting and contemporary art practices
  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative courses
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the art program
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master of Fine Arts or equivalent, as well as a strong teaching and mentoring background. You will also need to have a proven track record of producing high-quality art and teaching students in a post-secondary setting.

Additional Information

This is a regular part-time position, with a regular schedule of 52 hours per week. The language of instruction is English and French, and the course will be offered in-person. The expected enrolment is 18 students, and the course will be offered in the fall semester.
