Position Overview:
As a Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will oversee all facets of inventory management, shipment coordination, and customs documentation. Collaborating closely with the Purchasing and Inventory Control teams, you will ensure optimal stock levels, cultivate strong vendor relationships, and manage the flow of materials from suppliers to our warehouse. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess a strong commitment to teamwork and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all receiving and shipping operations, ensuring complete documentation for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Verify and inspect all products against purchase orders, promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Oversee the efficient receipt of import containers and LTL deliveries during each shift, as well as small parcel shipments.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for shipments, including Bills of Lading, shipping manifests, and permits.
- Develop and implement inventory and lot control procedures that comply with industry regulations.
- Train staff on safety protocols and ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policies.
- Communicate any delays or variances in freight to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics management, and transportation oversight.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to excel in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and WMS (like Produmex) is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook/Teams.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse or supply chain roles is necessary.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management capacity is required.
