The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Drupal Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for directing and improving best practices, architecting code, and collaborating on large-scale platform development and support for growing enterprises.
Responsibilities- Installation, configuration, and administration of Drupal and associated modules.
- Drupal server configuration, tuning, and monitoring, including custom module development.
- CI/CD development with Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
- Custom development to support advanced or unique functionality.
- Design and implementation of integration architecture.
- Complex integration utilizing APIs, Views, and other methods.
- Database administration, optimization, querying, and data transfer.
- Migration of older Drupal versions and content from other CMS projects.
- Testing, validation, launch, and support activities.
- Collect and analyze user requirements.
- Work collaboratively to contribute expertise and technical solutions to development tasks.
- Translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
- Follow industry and department best practices and policies for development work.
- Effectively utilize issue and task tracking systems.
- Research and evaluate new and emerging technology associated with Drupal and other CMS's, other programming languages, or technologies developers may work with.
- Perform communication activities with clients, participate in client demo meetings, providing updates on the project's progress, discussing any issues, and answering their queries promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other delivery teams across the project, including but not limited to internal teams, client teams, or third party agencies.
- Create and support internal processes, documentation, and their implementation.
- A minimum of 3 years experience with Drupal 8+.
- Post-secondary education in computer science, computer programming, web development, or software engineering is an asset.
- An understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, with some front-end knowledge, is preferred.
- Proven ability in custom module development.
- Experience integrating with various 3rd party APIs.
- Knowledge of PHP and PHP frameworks and applications including Drupal, WordPress, Symfony, and Laravel.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS (with preprocessing), JavaScript, Typescript, Bootstrap.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving, and constantly evolving high-growth environment.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
- Ability to execute assigned project tasks within an established schedule.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
