**Job Summary**

Penske Transportation Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

**Responsibilities**

  • Remove, replace or adjust brakes (air and hydraulic), fifth wheel, minor electrical repairs, cab components and accessories, and minor trailer maintenance with some supervision.
  • Perform all aspects of preventive maintenance on vehicles as trained.
  • Perform other mechanical repairs and replacements as directed/assisted by Technician I, II, Lead Technician or Supervisor as part of overall training.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle all customer-related duties as necessary.
  • Pick up and delivery of vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
  • Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
  • Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy duty truck maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
