Role Summary:

This role is integral to our financial operations and will involve responsibilities such as verifying, documenting, and reconciling gaming revenue transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager of Financial Reporting & Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all relevant policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare monthly GST/PST tax remittance forms.
  • Handle withholding tax computations and annual reconciliations.
  • Assist with GST audits as necessary.
  • Reconcile cash generated from gaming activities with daily revenue reports.
  • Prepare working papers and conduct ad-hoc account analyses as required.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary schedules.
  • Contribute to the month-end closing processes and related deliverables.
  • Maintain prepaid schedules and manage amortization entries.
  • Record journal entries related to corporate banking and month-end accruals.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for corporate bank accounts.
  • Communicate effectively with operational departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Adhere to licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software.
