Data Science Software Engineer

About the RoleThe Data Engineering team at Lime is responsible for ingesting, transforming, and making available timely, high-quality data that powers analytics, bookkeeping, and visibility for a wide range of customers. As a Data Science Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of this team, working on architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping existing core application experiences.
Responsibilities- Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping existing core application experiences.
- Enforce controls across pipelines to ensure incredibly high accuracy for all financial transactions (hundreds of millions of dollars).
- Work in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts across Finance, Operations, Strategy, Data Science, and Product.
- Assist in preparing data-related documentation for SEC filings and due diligence processes.
- Implement data governance policies and ensure data security and compliance.
- Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.
- 5+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
- Data driven. You have a strong data insight and rely on data to make decisions.
- Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
- Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas.
