About the Role

Quorum Software is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the implementation and operation of our enterprise security technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust security infrastructure that protects our business and customer data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security strategies, tools, and processes to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess cyber threats and develop effective countermeasures.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans.
  • Lead blue/red team exercises to validate event parsing, alerting fidelity, incident veracity, and SOC response.
  • Work with internal teams to identify and remediate gaps in security infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party providers and vendors to ensure effective security solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on cloud security, including Azure and AWS security controls.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in incident response efforts and make informed decisions regarding action plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our security posture remains effective.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, including security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with security tools, technologies, and processes, including EDR, SASE, WAF, IAM, PAM, and SIEM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
  • Industry certifications, such as SANS, are a plus.
