About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Coordinator to join our team at RONA Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading retailer in the industry and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Category Manager to develop and implement product line reviews, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate pricing strategies with the Price Management Team to optimize sales and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure accurate sales plans and inventory management.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Review and approve planograms and blueprints to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop promotional materials and in-store displays.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure promotional funding and optimize merchandising plans.
  • Support the Store Operations team by providing timely and efficient responses to queries.
  • Provide merchandising information to store associates and ensure a good knowledge of our store network.
Requirements
  • Any combination of professional experience and related diplomas will be considered.
  • Experience in retail is an asset.
  • Good computer literacy and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interface effectively with management at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
