Job Title: Truck Driver - Flatbed Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Flatbed Specialist to join our team at Varsteel Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer unit to transport goods across various routes, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • 2 years of experience in flatbed trucking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long hours on the road.
